1987 Topps baseball is known mainly for two things – the wood-grain design and being over produced. 1987 was the year that the baseball card collecting boom started to take off. Topps most likely produced more product up to that point in time than in any other year in its storied history. I remember having several thousand 1987 Topps cards and collected players such as Mark McGwire, Barry Bonds, and Bobby Bonilla. I put together several sets and remember buying vending boxes which consisted of 500 mint cards with no gum or wax stains.
Vending boxes were a lot cheaper than wax boxes. I was never really a fan of the gum so vending boxes were what I bought most. I have a 1987 Topps set in mint condition in a binder. I try to have a sell sheet or something that reminds me of collecting baseball cards that year for all of my Topps sets. For 1987, this is what I have:

I was never a big fan of the wood grained design of 1987 Topps but for some reason I am a fan of the wood grained design 25 years earlier with 1962 Topps. I really think that Topps missed the boat in that they had a great opportunity to come out with a 2012 Topps wood grained design last year to continue the wood theme every 25 years.
Does anyone out there have a 1984 or 1989 Topps sell sheet? I find it hard to believe that with as much product that was produced in 1989, I am unable to locate one of these. If you happen to have one, please email it to parker94ttu@gmail.com. I would appreciate this greatly.
