I will never forget collecting 1990 Topps cards since 1990 was the year I graduated from high school. It seems like yesterday that I bought several boxes and put together several sets. I ended up with about 10,000 cards from that year as that was the year I collected the most during the baseball card boom. I liked the design and the colorful borders. Looking back, I am not sure why I opened so many. There were zero autographs in that product and no one even heard of game-used memorabilia cards back then. Not only that, but insert cards were non-existent as well. So why did I open so many? Was it because I thought Eric Anthony was a certain Hall of Famer and wanted as many of his cards possible? No, it was because I enjoyed putting sets together and trading them with my friends. However, it was fun to trade all of my extra Eric Anthony’s to a friend who did think he was the next Willie Mays. Of course, I kept one complete set for myself which I have stored away in a binder. In front of my binder, I have a copy of the following 1990 Topps sell sheet:
Along with a copy of the sell sheet, I also have a copy of a 1990 Topps wax pack and a wax box. By adding copies of these things in the first part of my binder, it helps me remember the year of collecting baseball cards in 1990.
